What was your first job?
In my first role, I joined a brokerage firm in India as an associate specializing in domestic exchange products. The company was pioneering its global investment division, and I was fortunate to be part of the founding team. This early involvement provided invaluable experience in product inception, where I wore multiple hats to drive the product from concept to launch. I collaborated closely with clients, gaining deep customer insights that informed the product’s development.
What excites you about financial technology today?
What truly excites me about financial technology is its transformative power. From revolutionizing settlement times and eliminating physical share certificates to democratizing access to financial products on a global scale, fintech has reshaped the industry. Today, anyone with a device can participate in the global financial marketplace, breaking down geographical barriers and empowering millions.
Where do you see financial technology and finance evolving in the next 5-10 years?
The evolution of fintech has undeniably ushered in an era of borderless finance. With governments increasingly accommodating the growing demand for global financial products, the next 5-10 years promise unprecedented access to worldwide markets. Individuals will have the opportunity to invest in innovative companies and capitalize on IPOs from anywhere in the world.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
People might be surprised to learn that I’m passionate about sports, particularly cricket, volleyball, and badminton, and I always enjoy a friendly match. Travel is my escape, allowing me to recharge and find inspiration for life’s next adventure. Professionally, I’m results-oriented and committed to delivering on my commitments.
